Frequently Asked Questions

Please find below some of the most common questions we are asked.

How much are lessons?

For all up to date pricing on our lessons, please visit our price section.

Do you teach adults?

Around 58% of our total client base are adults. We have people in their 20's and 30's right up to a few 80+ year olds. That said, we have specially trained teachers available for teaching children as young as 4.

I don't have an instrument yet, what should I do?

Most people who come along for the first time don't either. We understand that most people like to try their chosen instrument out first before making a financial step towards investing in one. That is why you are welcome to come along and use one of our instruments during your lesson, you can even hire an instrument from us to take home.

What times are you open?

We open at 8am and close at 10pm. This may change very slightly from day to day depending on our teachers schedules.

Do I need to block book lessons?

No, not at all. All lessons are pay as you go. This way you don't have to worry about an up front payment.

Do you teach complete beginners?

Of course! Everyone has to start somewhere and we have specially trained teachers who work with beginners everyday to ensure they pick up the best techniques and advice. We also have teachers who work with clients who are doing degrees, master degrees and PhD's in Music as well as customers who are working towards their Grade 8 or Diploma.

What age do you start lessons at?

For different instruments, we recommend different starting ages. Most children can start most instruments from the age of 4, however, some instruments like the saxophone are better left till the age of 10. We also ask that parents take into consideration their childs attention span at very early ages, in some cases we can shorten a lesson to 15 minutes to suit.

Do I have to do grades?

Not at all. Unlike most schools, we give our clients a whole host of different options. Grades can be great for some people but don't suit everyone's development. Call up to find out about our great options available.

I am really nervous about singing/performing in front of people. Can you help?

99.9% of people get nervous performing in front of an audience, it's perfectly normal! So, that is why our fully qualified music teachers will take time with you until you feel comfortable.

If you have a question that you don't see on this list, please just give us a quick call or send us an email. We will be more than happy to help.
