Morningside School of Music is owned and operated by Edinburgh based Polar Flame Music Ltd. Polar Flame's other business interests are in music management, band & artist representation, songwriting, music production, PR, marketing, publishing and photography.
Morningside School of Music is not a franchise, nor is it leased out to anyone. The director and management of Polar Flame Music Limited oversee the running of all their companies, especially the music school, in which they take great pride.
They decided to change the music teaching part of the business because so many people were quite rightly getting confused, as the shops, music management company and schools were at one point, all named 'Polar Flame Music'.
During a rebrand meeting, it was decided that all music business & non-education related activities would be put under the name 'Polar Flame Music Limited' and when they closed down their operations in Portobello in 2008, They put all of the teaching side of the business under one roof, Morningside School of Music.
The company has existed in different forms since 1999.
